Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
James 5:14-15
Look at new testament examples of healing the sick, in each case there is no
“prayer” asking God to heal someone. Instead what you find is the “prayer of faith”: commanding a devil to go, commanding the sickness to go, speaking health to the body, and/or telling the person to do something they could not do while sick.
We do not need to ask for what God has already given us and wants us to have (Note: nothing necessarily wrong with asking, but we do not need to ask or beg more than once as that demonstrates doubt that God already gave it to us).
Instead, we ask once in faith and then can repeatedly: 1) thank Jesus bearing our sickness by His stripes and thank Jesus for giving us the authority in His name; and, 2) using the dominion over the Earth and authority God gave us to command the devil and sickness to go, and command health and healing into the body.
