vine of Sodom

They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.

For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:

Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.

Deuteronomy 32:31-33

there will be an apostacy

1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils

2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition

Matthew 24:10-11 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.   And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many (see also Mark 13:5-6; 11-12, Luke 21:8; 16-17)

that which is perfect

1 Corinthians 13:8-13

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.  [See Revelation 22:4-6

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

That which is perfect (Jesus) is when we shall see HIM face to face…   at THAT time prophecies, tongues, and knowledge will cease, what will endure will be faith, hope, and love.

strengthening hands of evildoers

I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

Jeremiah 23:14

Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

Ezekiel 13:22
